To much! I think I have it figured out though.

A lot at first, probably like $50 in the first few months. Now I have learned what "low" light really means and I haven't lost a plant in a long time.

Around 15-20 bucks....on the other hand, I have made probably close to 150 bucks or so, selling plantlets of java fern for store credit over the years. I also sold the main Anubias Barteri in my corner tank to the LFS for 65 bucks. They broke it into two pieces and sold each for 50 bucks. It was flippin' huge when I sold it to them. I kept a little plantlet off it tho. The Anubias was 24 inches tall and around 10 to 12" wide....Massive. It just over grew my 44 gallon corner tank. It was around 3 or 4 years old, maybe older.

I have lost more than I would care to admit to an all-day all night goldfish salad bar. In terms of them being unsuited for the parameters of the tank, probably about $25.
