~Kswords~ AC Members Jun 28, 2007 375 0 0 USA Nov 2, 2007 #3 I started with 50 lbs. for my 55 gallon tank, this was small peasize gravel. And since then I have decresed it to probably 40-45 lbs. of gravel, because to much gravel cause problems with the dirt and poo collection on the bottom.
