how much stress coat can you use daily?????

Mela and Pima are great products within their limitations, fin rot being one of the best examples. You should raise the temp of the tank to 86 when using them. It makes the whole room smell nice!

For the record, I was the person that mentioned stresscoat plus a few threads back about this same fish.. I never suggested it as a cure or even said it would work. The thread at the time I believe was just talking about fins growing back from fin rot, and I stated that I had some success with api stresscoat plus (I am guessing because of the aloe maybe) when my fish were injured/recovering/ or stressed. I definitely never intended it to be meant as a cure for anything, and as I stated in my post was not even sure it would do any good. I hope the fish gets better and is cured of whatever is wrong with it.

ash I know you didnt mean it was a cure for fin rot absolutely and thats not what i said i simply wanted to know if you could use it daily to help repair the fins ...some other people got the wrong idea...thankyou for all your help...I used MelaFix and PimaFix today and his fins are up as you can see in the pics. So i would say he is improving

Glad he is doing better with the meds. I hope he continues to improve. :)

as far as posting on here anymore i just dont know ...i feel like some people (not you ash) just beat you up and really dont help wich i thought was the point of these message boards.......sorry ...i guess i pissed certain people off by posting more than one thread......I was just trying to get help and can't stand some self righteous people who have nothing better to do than make people feel like they are idiots.

isnt 86 to hot for a goldfish????
Yes it's much too hot for Goldfish, but the higher temps drive off the essential oils faster and make the scent stronger! The fish doesn't look so bad in the pics. I'd expect a full recovery in short order.

86 is the temp where the immune system functions the best and anything 82+ will keep ich from growing in tank as well. Obviously in outside conditions they have to be able to stand more than 72 degrees so it's strange people worry so much about high temps. The only drawback is they will kick up their metabolism and have much more appetite which can lead to more waste.
