How much tank does a red terror need?

How big of a tank does a red terror (cichlasoma festae) need?

I've been getting some conflicting advice from the websites I've been visiting so I thought I'd ask some real people.

A 55 gallon for him alone would be the min. if tank mates a 90 gallon. Im sorry I thought it said Red Devil I would go with a 75 gallon min. If its a male Red Terror they can get to 20 inches and would need a larger tank than 90 gallons.

Ok. So I could grow out a Red Terror in a 75 but once its almost grown I'd need much more...
