:lol:hardcore baby!!!

About 50% every couple of weeks.
Sometimes more often.:)
sometimes a little less often.:headshake2:

Not exactly clockwork, but I get it done.

okay - my last post was rather sarcastic... its what I do... but it seriously got me thinking and now somewhat depressed. As a bona fide' card carrying former hipster and devoted environmentalist, I suddenly am wondering if I'm a "false conservationist" considering how much water I use for these changes every week.

Which brings me to my scientific question - IS there any way to recycle tank water??? I mean doing it legit (don't come back at me with "thats what happens when it goes down the drain")... I'm not stupid (on this particular subject anyway)

sooooo.....

Diatom filters do a good job of polishing water back to clean. That is my only real idea. Sorry, even then it does not replace water changes. In fact no filter or equipment replaces water changes that is why I started this thread. It seems the most successful folks do a large amount of changes.

There are many things that can be done with the water - wash your car, water the lawn, bathe the dog (?), Use it for the soapy wash on your outside windows, etc. I also use it to water my bushes and hit the driest parts of my lawn without using more water. I use it whenever a soapy wash is needed on something outside. I try not to send any water down my drains as I am on a well and septic system.

What, no bathroom :D
I had a 20 in my bathroom but when I got my sphinx cat I had to put his litter box where the tank was ( My ex made me do it) But I still have the cat he is cool and likes fish as much as me.
