On my 29 gallon, I was just wondering how much GPH per gallon is need & also how many watts per gallon, for lighting. It is FOWLR now but would like to keep coral in the future. But first was looking to buy a couple more Maxi Jet power heads, just trying to decide how strong to get.

Thanks,
DREW

A couple of small well placed powerheads will work wonders. I would not get anything larger than a MaxiJet 250 for your tank size. Your skimmer will also provide additional water movement, so consider this with your placement of the MaxiJets.

I have 3 power heads in my 25g minireef tank - 1 on the bottom and 2 near the top. I experimented and placed them so that they would create a steady current with no dead spots. I use adjustable flow heads so I have even more control. I tweak and adjust the flow a bit to meet the needs of my corals as they grow.

I have three maxi jet 600s in my 29gallon, a return pump and a hang on filter, if i had another maxi jet below a 1200 id put it in there too.
