How often do you feed your fish?

I feed my fish 2x a day apart from my pleco's which i feed every other night and fast them all on cleaning day.

Tropicals get 1 or 2 feedings a day, goldfish get 2 or 3. They all fast once or twice a week, except for fry, who are fed twice a day every day. Everyone gets to gorge themselves on frozen food on water change days.

I used to feed twice a day and I had a lot of problems with diatoms. Since I've changed to feeding once daily I have no diatoms.

Everyday in the morning. About the size of a penny. An algae wafer for the BN once-two times a week at night.

Is it necessary for a day of fast per week?
