I have a 6" texas, 6" red devil, 4" convict and a 4" JD. How often would you feed them and how much? They seem to only eat flakes and shrimp pellets? Any other advice on feeding? Thanks

Also, my pleco only seems to eat the flake food. Isn't he supposed to be a bottom feeder?

I feed my fish twice a day. Mostly pellets, but sometimes they get bloodworms or brineshrimp. Once in the morning and once at night........

feeders are not a good idea for most cichlids. the risk of introduceing paracites and disease is to great to risk it. on top of that they are not a nutritious food source. their are just too many high quality foods out they to rely on feeders. i feed my fish 2-3 times daily with; raw shrimp, earth worms, super worms, omega one cichlid pellets, omega one kelp pellets, frozen krill, freeze dried krill.

Tetra Color Bits!

Should I repeat the subject title?

Ok, what the heck: "Get Tetra Color Bits!"

You can thank me in 2 weeks when you see the 'colors' radiate!

..Don't over feed.. you know what I mean..

:D

Tetra color bits are good but when your fish get big you need to feed them something they can see so tetra cichlidcolor sticks they are specialily made for cichlids with radiant yellows, reds and blues.
