how often is too often to rescape a planted tank?

thanks for the responses all. so about 3 weeks is too soon? i have new plants that should only float one more day and an idea stewing in the ol' noggin, lol.

it also depends on the type of plant. Stem plants are fine to pull out and move around. I pull mine out weekly to trim the bottoms off and sink them back down. plants with rootballs like crypts and swords, those are much happier left alone.

i will have to rescape most of the tank to make room for the new plants. i thought i was only getting vals but my local forum friend showed up with a fair size bag with about 5 different types, some back, some middle, some foreground, and i will have to move stuff around to make room and make the tank look good. gotta love your local forum fish friends! lol.

when i rescaped this tank about 3 weeks to a month ago i stirred up all the substrate, pulled up all the plants in the tank, including my large amazon sword, 'rose' sword, and all my crypts and they are now growing even better than before the rescape, so i think i'm going to go ahead and get in there like a dirty shirt tonight, lol, and make things a lil neater and a lil less jungle. pics to come soon!
