Ok here’s how you do your water changes. Use a gravel vac to siphon out as much water as you need to (with your bioload 50-60% once a week is needed). Replace the water with fresh dechlorinated tap water that is the same temp as aquarium water. Your fish might be dieing from the stress of moving them around. Also, I have to ask, did you cycle your tank? If not click here
Second, I am not one to call overcrowding on anyone. It’s just not my style. That’s why you should take this advice to heart. DO NOT take it personally. Everyone here is only trying to help.
1. Nobody needs more than one pleco (each one of yours will get 14in long). Get one of the dwarf varieties or get a few otocinclus.
2. I’m pretty sure most of those sharks with the exception of the rainbow will outgrow your tank (each will be close to 1ft+ long!!). Pick one or at most two or three that you like best and return the rest.
3. That newt needs land! In nature and in my terrarium newts spend 95% of their time on land!
I'm curious if the same store sold you all those fish knowing your tank size? If so please name and shame that store for us.
