I have been told different things by different people so I'm just trying to get a better idea of when I should feed my fish. Books I have read tell me 2 times a day, people I talk to tell me once a day, and the LFS tells me every other day (to make less waste in the tank).

I have been feeding every other day for a couple months now and the fish seem to be doing fine every other day, but I'm not sure if this is what's good for them in the long run.

I feed frozen brine shrimp and some frozen veggies for about 5 minutes every other day and scoop out and uneaten bring shrimp that I find. The uneaten veggies are usually so small that I dont bother to get them out because my shrimp just eats them all day and cleans up for me.

I have 1 yellow tang (about 2 inches), 2 small clowns, 1 green line wrasse, 1 cleaner shrimp, some snails and hermits that dont eat the food I put in (they just eat algea all day)

Let me know what you're thoughts are...thanks.

depends on if there is anything else in the tank that they can munch on...algae,plants,snails, etc...

I feed my fish maybe 4-5x per week.
I put about 4 types of foot into a container, mash it all together and grind it up a bit so the larger chunks are bite size...then dose from the one container...

There is some algea in the tank that I see them picking at frequently. Not sure if there is enough to keep them from being hungry between feeding days though.

I feed twice a day. On the reef, fish are eating constantly, so two small meals a day doesn't seem excessive. They also have a lot of amphipods and mysis living in the rocks and coming in from the fuge.
