How often to Rams spawn?

My girlfriend's golden rams just spawned (after a week of having them)
Her Siamese Algae Eater I think took a midnight snack, and there does not seem to be as many eggs as before. I was just wondering how often do rams spawn and should we remove the algae eater?

Depends on age, health conditioning etc. Mine used to spawn every 2-3 weeks now it is monthly. I guess they are starting to get old.

The rams may have eaten the eggs themselves. I hear it takes a few times for them to "get it right" and succeed with raising fry.

If it is a few that are missing, it might be some eggs were infertile and fungusing so they were eaten.

I would recommend removing the algae eater.
