How old were you when you first (responsibly) kept your first fish?

Yeah... responsible is such a relative term.

My wife tried to teach our three kids sign language when they were babies... I taught all three of them to slap themselves in the head.

Well I am 38 now. I had my first fish at 13 and it was a small blue Grama that lasted about 5 min in a bowl. I was Bummed and started to try and figure out how to keep fish properly after that. I still am - LOL. I have had many types of fish over the years and many different tanks. I Stared keeping nice TANKS at 15ish time frame and have rarely bin without 2 or 3 cence.

I am responsible, i superglue fish to the glass and create discus from guppies with the use of a mag-float... !!!!

OUCH! :thud:

Finally... a good use for guppies besides as feeder fish!

/ KIDDING!

always had tanks when my father was alive when he passed I stopped having tanks for about 2-3 years and well here I am now 5 years later

i use to go to my aunts house when i was 9 they had a big 55 gallon tank with silver dollars and angelfish in it. I absolutly loved there tank and had to have one of my own i got a small 3.5 and had a small pond fish (comet) and it died right before a carnival where i won about 50 feeder fish and had them all in that small little tank. but i realy started getting into the hobby at age 16 when i had the money to buy a 20 gal tall tank and a few small angelfish two of which dies off but i had the one for two years before he was killed by ick, i'm 19 now and am still learning something new almost eveyday but i would consider myself an ok fish keeper. ( still don't know how to change my new filter lol)
