put some floating food in the tank just before adding the sinking wafers to distract the oranda.

Ya Iv feed them all at once, and also waited. If I wait until lights out the oranda "usually kinda" stays away. But lights on I have to sit and watch and wave my finger at the tinfoils who zoom over. I guess I just need to build him a cave to which fish cant enter.
