How the heck do I assemble these strip lights?!

mwuhaha! I totally scored some wirenuts off the construction people!!!! Woo! I have 9 wire nuts now. I still need to find suitable cords. I have a hello kitty clock radio that has a ground wire sticking out the back...but I could never cut it up! That thing is so bada$$!

If my quest for power cords isn't fruitful I will probably take these light fixtures back and get the correct ones

Alrighty!!! I went to the dollar general here in town and got a 20 ft extension cord for yard work equipment. It had a 3 prong plug and so I began my wiring journey:

Here is a picture of the cord and my lame tool case. These are all the tools I have. I used the needle nose pliers as wire strippers lol.

I cut the "socket" end off of the cord and cut away some of the orange rubber casing. There were three wires (yes!). I stripped them down and connected them to the other wires. I wrapped the green wire around the ground screw and screwed it into the light fixture case

Here's everything all connected:

And here's the fixture with the light bulb in and the cover on:

Not only does the light work...but it is super bright! I am so excited!!!

I am going to attach the lights to the shelves using zip ties (good or bad idea?) I'm so proud lol!:perv:

Wow, what a great job. Now I'm inspired, too.

BTW... just plug that electrical cord into a power strip, and you've got an on/off switch!
