how the heck does this happen??

we passed by in a car...lol
theyre attached to a completely verical brick wall.
i used to be a bird freak, so i know that Pigeons/Doves are not Passerine (Perching) birds, so they dont have the balance that it takes to sit on the side of a vertical wall. in fact only chickadees, woodpeckers, and parrots do, as far as new world birds anyway :D

You know what's fun? Psittaciform birds aren't passeriform, but they are passerine. How'd that happen? :)

maybe someone did it on purpose. either way, your logic of them not being perching birds coupled with the fact that things don't become adhesive when they die in mid-air, i call :bs:
bs?
oh im not lying. if i was gonna lie on here id find something better to lie about then dead birds stuck to a wall :)

If i recall correctly tractor trailer trucks are allowed to go through that tunnel right? if a bird is flying by the entrance of the tunnel, and a truck flies through it fast enough, i'd image the pure force of the wind might be able to throw the birds at the wall fast enough for the to simply....splat! and stay there.

i think this is possible becaues i know when passing a tractor trailer in a light car the wind it makes has caused my car to move on the road

its not technically a tunnel, its an overpass. i dont THINK trucks are legal on that stretch of the highway...but its never stopped them ;)

Having driven through there many times in a big rig signs are posted all over that trucks are not allowed on the parkways. But I have to say I have done it a time or two, once by accident the second time wasn't though :D

I think those birds are just hanging around up there hoping to "spot" the right car!

Only New York where you drive on a parkway and park on a driveway!
