How to attach marimo to wood

I have some broken marimo balls that I want to attach to a piece of driftwood. What is the best way to do this? Thread? Netting material like a hair net?

yep... sewing thread will work just fine. just wrap it around snug (not tight) and tie a knot in it. by the time the thread degrades the clado should be attached if it's growing well.
