I really want to have a go, but only in my communtiy tank, how do i go about it, just get say 3 males and about 7 females, to stop them from getting tired and then seperate babies from tank when born, is that it or is it more detailed than i thought!!

As long as there are male and female guppies in the tank, you'll have babies. These are THE most prolific freshwater fish there is, even some livebearers are less inclined to breed than these little guys.

To improve fry survival rate, you could set up a smaller tank, somewhere from 2.5-10 gallons, with a lot of plants, and put the female guppy in there when she looks ready to pop, then put her back in the community tank when she's recuperated. That way the babies don't get eaten. When they're about 1/2 inch (~1.25cm), you should be able to put them back into the community tank unless you have some notorious baby fish eaters like angels or some other cichlids, or pirhanas.

yeh i have one angel, so do they feed straight the way on normal flake food, how many will they have at a time. I'm only looking to keep the babies is that poss and if they do have more is it ok to just leave to the other fish>?
