How to diffuse CO2 in a planted tank?

You will need a filter with 13mm or 17mm outtake tubing, you have to make a cut on the middle of the outtake, and all you have to do is insert the cutted ends to the sides of diffuser and the co2 tubing, pretty simple..but you have to be careful, it's glass, very fragile. The thing I like about it is that it's very quiet and efficient at creating co2 mist, plus good diffusion.

Oh no, you don't place the inline co2 diffuser inside the tank. It is supposed to be mounted on the outside of your tank, a check valve should be installed on the co2 tubing, it helps keep water away from your needle valve..

Yeah I know, but I bought the one that goes inside the tank. Needle valve? Okay, I did not use none of this the last time I used a DIY CO2 system so I may need a little class, Sesame Street way like one of my professors says. I would appreciate it, thanks!

Oh, you mean those regular glass diffusers that go in, yeah they go in, and the check valves should be installed outside. Using a DIY yeast co2 bottle system, well it's a little difficult, you have to do a lot of experimenting with the yeast and sugar to get that pressure going... I think bk has done it, you should ask him.
 
I have a glass diffuser under the intake of my Fluval 205 and it works like crap. Even with small bubbles going in and threw the filter it still creates such a large gas pockets it almost makes me think that it's not even getting dissolved at all, even after only a few Min's I have a large gas pocket. I can shake the canister back and forth and hear the Co2 being chopped up.. I can do this for about a min before the gas pocket is gone, then a few Min's later it builds up again... Even 3+ hours later when the Co2 tank is turned off there is still a large gas pocket in the filter.. Maybe it's only with the Fluval filters?

I'm going to make a in-line diffuser once I buy a Magnum 350 canister filter.
Can't do it with the Fluval because of the ribbed tubing..

When I got this filter it had no tubing and I had to order it threw the mail and wait...

Do you know the size of the tubing?
