How to do a drip method when introducing new fish? NEON TETRAS ESPECIALLY

lol you make me laugh, great video!

how old are you?
lol what makes you laugh about me? Thanks, I'm 27

If it was how I was talking, I never made a fish video before, or a video explaining how I do something, so I sounded like a total newb I'm sure. lol

Yea, 5 hours is a bit excessive. I usually take about an hour and a half using one of those bathroom dixi cups filled about half way and pour into the bag of fish every 15 minutes or so.

OT: are you injecting CO2? I see bubbles in the back and I'm wondering how you would be able to inject CO2 with the air bubbles and 2 HOB filters. Also, thought on the diatom filter? I have been wanting one for about 3 years now and just never got it...

lol to be honest.. i do it for an hour. :)

but thats not with neons sooooooo idk lol

no man you just sound .. chill
Yah the neons are doin ok, the angels aren't. They were very small angels, like 1" 5.99 each. 1 died already, 1 is breathin like it's about to die. They didn't look 100% though at the store, maybe 70%.

Yeah, I'm a chill dude. ;)

Yea I was going to do something like that if someone didn't give me any help lol.

I'm not injecting CO2, those are bubbles cause I had got air in the diatom by accident, and just let it go like that. I have 2 HOB's and a Ehiem.

I got the Diatom XL, and I'm letting it run continuously now on the 90G. It polishes the water really nice, and it takes out parasites harmful to the fish. I'd recommend the XL version. It's for bigger tanks.

They are pricey I suppose, and the powder recharge is about 9$. It's worth it if you want to have a really nice clear water though. You shouldn't run it continously if it is smaller than I think 75 or 90, cause it will take out too much stuff in the water that the fish need. (without being technical about what it takes out).

I'd buy it again.

That was a good explanation. I do my acclimation in a bucket with a cup. Out of 5 neons I recently added to my tank 1 made it. Too bad about the angels.

I like the idea of the diatom because many of the fish from the lfs come in with parasites. Does it do anything for green spot algae?

I think my neons have NTD already, they are starting to loose color again, I checked my ammonia, and it's at .25. I have to check the other parameters but I'm doing a 30% water change. My city tap water measures out @ 7.0. I'm wondering if the water is hard... no, I don't have hard water.. Akalinity would be the only issue. I know angels and neons specifically like softer water so I'm thinking that may be the issue.

About the diatom, I've seen them at the LFS completely clear out a tank that was green, and it was clear a day later.
