How to feed bubble coral?

I know that bubble corals are filter feeders but also will eat some larger stuff like krill brin shrimp once in a while. When would you give the bubble coral the krill? at night when the tentacles are our or during the day when the bubbles are out...

also how do you feed it freeze dried cyclopeez?

pretty much how would you feed bubble coral lol?
 
I don't think it'll eat krill, but someone may correct me. That's just my gut feeling :)

For the freeze-dried stuff like your Cyclopeze, the way I do it is to soak it in some tank water (or a vitamin solution if you're so inclined) to make sure it's water logged. A shot glass or other similar small container works perfectly for this step. Then I suck it up in an oral feeding syringe and inject it right over the filter feeder. The syringe is handy because it also helps when measuring supplements or tap water conditioner. But do you feed at night when the tentacles are out or during the day when the bubbles are out?
 
I have found it doesn't matter much. I have fed during both times and had no ill effects. I have fed meaty foods such as formula one, prime reef, silversides, etc. so Krill would work just fine. I have never fed cyclopeze to my bubble because I didn't think the food value would be a whole lot and it would be a little more difficult. Here is a link to a pic I took while feeding.

the coral doesn't have a hard time dealing with the hard shell or bones? That was my thought on why it wouldn't eat larger things like krill or silversides.
 
I feed our bubble coral mysis shrimp from time to time using a turkey baster. It doesn't matter if it's day or night, bubbles or just tentacles. It can eat either way.

Regardless of what or how you feed it, like any other coral, beware of theives. Whenever I feed our corals, I have to constantly chase our cleaner shrimp away from them so they don't steal the food. I've tried feeding the cleaner shrimp first, but it doesn't make a difference. I think they'd eat 24/7 if food was constantly available.
 
one more question for you guys... How often do you guys feed bubble coral meaty foods? They are filter feeders that also like some meaty foods but how often do you feed them the meaty foods?
 
I honestly only feed our bubble coral 1 or 2 times per month. It does quite well on its own feeding with its photosynthetic properties.
