Hello,

I have a question, Yeterday i added 6 corys to my 120 gal ( 3 albino and 3 salt and pepper ). I never kept corys before but i figure they would be a nice addition to ( 12 danios, 7 congos,6 lemons, 6 silver dollars,3 dwarf gouramis, 2 krebensis ).. So i drop a few sinking tablet and low and behold they never make it to the bottom because the silver dollars are so fast they snatch the pellets. what can i do?Do you have any tricks that can help me get food to those corys?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

I feed mine sinking shrimp pellets and they also clean up any flakes left on the bottom....

If you are having trouble getting the food to them, you can try a couple of things. Add some floating food for the other fish at the same time you are dropping in the pellets. Another thing to try is to add the sinking food right after lights out. They enjoy sinking wafers, shrimp pellets, and frozen foods like tubifex and bloodworms. Best of luck, they are a fun addition to a tank!

hahahaahahah

i thought this thread was going to be about what to feed cories. i was going to suggest finding the package of food with the picture of the cory on it...

but seriously, i have congos that are the same way. i feed floating food (flakes, etc) first. then i drop the wafers in away from the congos. then the lights go out.

I will give it a try. I guess i will have to practice the art of diversion..It seems that when i drop the tablets all the other fish find them first before the corys do. I do not want to end up over feeding just to make sure they get something.

:iagree: This is the best way to keep the cory food away from the greedy fish!
