how to humanely dispose of apple snail eggs?

the babies would most likely be either of the parent colors with some other colors in the mix too...they don't blend together but the parent colors have dominance.

Well, I dont know who I could give them to. There would be a lot, and also I can't give them back to the LFS to sell because they aren't either gold or black. The eggs will be a product of a gold and a black snail mating, and I don't know what color that would be...maybe a strange brown? ;)

Nope...should be one or the other color... they don't mottle/mix. Or could end up being some bizarre other color cause it'll jump a generation. But usually... gold or black if that's what the parents are. Some of each.

WOW! according to msj and sage, some gold, some black, and possibly w/ a few random colors mixed? that is so awesome i can't even picture it. i guess i'll keep a few eggs and hope for the best. will they survive if separated from the clutch? I can't support so many snails, but I can keep 3 or so at a time. I don't know anyone who would take them...

You can always make escargot later on.

Separating a clutch is fine though some eggs will be crushed in the process anyway.
