How to plant amazon swords?

amazon sword is THE best plant for a complete noob to planted tanks, or tanks at all, to get. As noted above it takes any kind of light, no ferts, no highfalutin' CO2, no nothing and it grows great and green and lush and gorgeous. Then it takes over your tank of course, but by then you have gained confidence in your plant-growing abilities. You can sell or trade it off to somebody so you can see your fish again.

And get more plants, perhaps even another amazon sword as small as you can find, and have fun for another year. :)

at this point, I might just divide off a small section off my 55 so that the plec and the dojo cant mess with it until it establishes. Would it be better to grow the plant semi-smeresed or fully underwater?

if you are going to keep the plant fully submerses then keep it fully submersed, if you are going to keep it partially submerged then just keep it partially submerged........... no one way is better, you will still need to keep providing ferts for the roots though.
