Does anyone know...is there a general rule or how do you decide how to price used books? A friend moved back to Ecuador he gave me all his books before leaving. I figured maybe I would just try and sell them, but I have know idea how?

Well, there is quite the variety of books most are hard back. There is "the Bush Tragedy", "Barack Obama The Audacity of Hope", "The lost history of Gettysburg", Gandhi, more like that. Then several "investment" books, "improving your life" type books, the Carolton Sheets program, Wonders of the World type books....I'd say close to 70 or so books.
Type the titles into Amazon and see what they are selling for. Or simply take them down to a used book store and see what they will give you.. Considering they were free it is all profit for you
Thanks Somervell and fshfanatic...trying to figure Amazon out, duh didn't think of a used book store LOL! I'm thinking that may be the best thing, considering shipping on them if I sold them Amazon, Craigslist, Ebay or anywhere like that.
Shipping would be easy and cheap. That is what flat rate priority boxes are for.. You dont even have to drop them off. I leave mine next to my mailbox and the carrier takes them when he drops my mail..

I also have a ton of books I don't want any more. I'll be keeping tabs on this thread to see what the end result is, if it's worth it I'll see if I can sell mine too. If not, I can always donate to a library or sell to a used book store.
Actually there's an even cheaper way than flat rate, books qualify for media mail.
I can mail a 5lb book to the west coast for a little over 4 dollars, the only drawback is that it has to be done at the post office.
