I'm going to be getting my first betta today or tomorrow and he will be placed in my ten gallon by himself. I've read some places online that fake plants aren't the best because they can tear their fins on them. I already got some java moss. Is there anything else I can put in the tank? I'd like to put a fake wooden log in there but not sure if it would be okay or not. Any suggestions would be great or any pictures that I can get some ideas from would be nice.

Thanks!:)

You cycled it, right?

But im sure the decor in it will be fine;)

Although real plants are the way to go if possible, I have never had any issues with fake plants and bettas. The fake driftwood they make these days also looks pretty good. Some nice rocks that make him stand out would also be nice. A few cories in the tank would be a nice touch. And what about a cool background? Hehe...have fun and post some pics!
