Ok. so I have an extra 6 gallon tank and I was wondering what I would have to do to set it up as a sump or a fuge. I'm not really sure which one to set it up as because that would be an extremely small sump for a 55 gal. I'm guessing. So anyway any help appreciated.

I honestly wouldn't set up something that small myself. On a 40 to 75 or even a 90 gallon you are about the same footprint for a lot of the equipment and wouldn't do less than a 20 gallon at the very minimum.

okay that's what I thought so would it be possible to set it up as a fuge or maybe a brine shrimp hatchery? I honestly have no idea what to do with it. Does anybody have an idea of how to make it useful?

You could make just a fuge out of it, it would be small, but it could be done. The biggest problem would be where to put the pump and to keep the flow slow enough through there so pods and the good stuff can grow.

Ever thought about a gold fish tank???? j/k

Honestly I don't know what to do with that small of a tank.

Okay so does anybody know how I would go about setting one up?

As an alternate suggestion. ONce you set up a sump you could plumb it into the sump and use with with LR rubble and macro and create a small podsfarm? Just a thought. I would still think that for the effort, expense and end state a 10 gallon would be the min I would work with.
