I just made up a batch of this:

http://www.gpas.org/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.184

I used 2 cups of Aquamax trout chow and 1 cup of Gerber Mixed Grain Baby Cereal for the "Meal".

For the "Meat", I used 3/4 of a pound of cooked shrimp.

For the "Vegetables", I used 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies and 1 cup of frozen chopped collard greens.

It is now hardening.

The question is : How to store? The directions say " When set, slice into usable sizes. Wrap individually (for easy seperation later ) & freeze.

I have never had much luck with that method with other things, was paper tends to freeze the object. A real problem when I try to freeze collared greens.

Suggestions?

there's no corn in the mixed veggies is there? i've heard it's bad for fish.

i used to do something similar for my pet lizard (only with jello instead of freezing it)

i just used plain saran wrap (plastic wrap) to line an ice cube tray then put the food mixture on top in each ice cube hole, then another sheet of saran wrap on top. press out as much air as you can, then once it's done you can just cut the saran wrap and peel it off the food cube.

The mix dig have corn in it, but since it was pulverized, and the amount of corn is small I am not worried about it.

My girlfriend stores her DIY frozen foods in large 1 gallon plastic bags, where she flattens it to around 1/2" thick. So whenever we need to feed out fish, which just pull it out of the freezer and break off a chunk.
