How would a Pearl Gourami do in a 10g tank?

Thanks for the input, guys.

I figured the pearl might be a little too large. Dwarf Gouramis and I don't mix. I love the way they look, but they always die within a month of buying them. Is there maybe a place where I could buy a freshly bred Dwarf Gourami, from a reputable breeder, that might live for longer than 3 weeks?

I am also aware that Otos should be in groups...but in all honesty I don't have enough algae to support more than 1. The 1 I have now is fat and happy, but I doubt there's enough algae to support 2 or even 3. I had 2 at one point...but I think one of the died from getting fried by the heater (strangely enough).

Thanks again for your suggestions. I am ready to upgrade to a bigger tank, but unfortunately it just wouldn't be viable at this stage of my life. Graduate school is kicking my butt in a bad way, and I have long school breaks where I am away for several weeks. Hopefully an automatic feeder will help alleviate this issue. I may just fill it for every other day.

Sorry, my post is kind of all over the place, heh.
