How would I go about building an indoor pond?

Wouldn't your cat get the picture after he falls into a big tub of water once?

that cat is AWESOME.

Would it hold if we screwed together 4 sides or plywood and a bottom and put a pond liner in and filled it then covered the outside with something to cover it all up? Then like maybe get a piece of glass fit for the cover

An easy indoor pond is a half a whiskey barrel they make preformed liners for them. Just put a small pump with a pre-filter on it. You can put floating plants like water lettuce, or water hyacinths in it. It will hold about 25 gallons of water. So you can keep a goldie in it.

For indoors, I'm not sure I'd use a flex liner. If one gets a pinhole at the corner outdoors, no big deal. Indoors that can be another matter!

Well I dont really know. My floor is pretty stong. I would actually probably end up doing white clouds with a heater on like a ceramic plate or tile since my room temp changes so much. Im thinking maybe a 30-40 gallon one?

30-40 gallons should not be a problem. You can make a shallow pond out of a piece of 2x12 and plywood lined with flexible pond liner. The plywood does not have to be thick since it does not have to support weight. A pond 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 9in deep will give you 35 gallons.

Have fun and good luck
