How would you filter a 180G (6x2x2)? There is no way I'm building a sump even with a 55G spare because I have no experience in plumbing and 180G on the floor is going to be a problem.

I already have a Eheim 2217 so I'll be using that for sure. I was thinking of buying another 2217 along with a fluval FX5 for water movement.

with a tank this big, maybe I need some power heads too?

I'll have a fluival... or a DIY system... maybe a sodium reactor

Krytan - Which 3?

I'll have a 2217, HOB and a internal Fluval 4+ to use, I rather not use these if they are not going to make a difference, but I suppose the fluval can act like a powerhead..

I would probablly run two C-530 or three C-360s. Though my preference would to have a sump.

In most any case, I would have powerheads for additional movement, maybe even RUGF.

The fish may determine some of the decision making.

I have two fluval 404s and an eheim 2224, i would like to replace my 404s for a fx5 at some point ( the 404s are horrible fiters to work with).

I use 2 fluval 404's on my 180.

If it was stocked more I would have more filtration.

Add a Eheim 2260 they are a BEAST of a filter and best part is it's the same design as your trusty 2217 which has been around since the late 60's.
