I was just looking for some info on my fish and found some interesting reading on this website. It looks like a good learning place. I've had fish for a long time but only recently really got fanatic. One of my favorite fish (huge tiger barb) died while I was on vacation this Sept and I wanted to know why. I got some books and scoured the internet after realizing that the fish store people on my side of town don't know their butt from their head let alone anything about fish. I think he just died of old age because he was one of my original group of 6 Tiger barbs that I bought probably 3 years ago. Since then more have gradually dropped off and now I'm down to two (one of which has mouth fungus right now).
My husband realized I was really getting serious about my fish when he came home and my kitchen looked like a science lab. He bought me a nice 55 gal tank about a month ago. I love it! Today he bought me a large two piece castle for it. It's awesome! Now I have 24 fish....well, that is if Lucy's milk mustach doesn't get better. We are medicating now.
