How's this for stocking a 20g long?

Here are my thoughts so far, I would love to have a breeding pair of either Blue Rams or Kribensis, but I would also like to have other fish in the tank, I know this would sort of defeat the purpose of breeding, as the other fish would be sure eat the fry, but it really is an amazing thing to watch.

Here are my ideas

2 Blue Rams(1 male, 1 female)
7 Cardinal Tetras
6 Panda Cories

Here's my second idea

2 Kribs(1 male, 1 female)
6 Panda Cories

I think I would rather of the Krib pair for two reasons, they are easier to sex, and live longer lives than the Ram's and I would hate to have to buy a new pair after only a year.

What are your thoughts?

I like the first combo much more. I think it would look very pretty with the Cardinals, Pandas, and Rams.

Kribs are more agressive than rams, so I don't think that a pair of Kribs and 6 cories would coexist in a 20g long. Besides they both tend to stay on the bottom third of the tank. I would put some tetras in with the Kribs. Right now I have 8 Flame tetras(von rio) in a 20 with a pair of Kribs. The colors work well for me.
 
Kribs will show aggression to any fish when they spawn. If you find tetras that are capable of speed they should not be threatened harshly by the Kribs. Plus the number of Tetras evens out the aggression since the Kribs would have many targets to chase. Giving the others a chance to rest.

So Cories are definitely out if I go with the Kribs now.

What species of Tetras would work well with the Kribs?
 
Pick a good medium sized Tetra. Lemon, Sarpea, Black skirt should all work. Just go to you LFS and see what they have. I am starting to think that my Von Rios might be a little small.
