I currently have an enormous acrylic tank(about the size of 2 bathtubs) that I really need to get out of the way. I don't have the exact measurements on it at the moment, but I will get them on here ASAP. I have looked online at similar tanks and I haven't found one like mine for less than $1,000. It is however, not in new condition. In fact there is about an 8 inch scratch on one side of it. However, that could probably be used as the back. It could also make a nice tank for something other than a show tank, like breeding or something. I am negotiable on the price of course, but I think it's worth at least $400. It is so large that I'm not sure how you would be able to ship it. If you don't live too far from Lake Charles, Louisiana I would probably deliver it to you myself depending on the location. I just need to get rid of it. It is already cut to receive a sump and filter for saltwater. I'll try and get y'all some pictures up here so that y'all can take a looksie. Just the acrylic alone on in has to be worth a good bit because it's pretty darn thick. I think that they top is probably really thick plexiglass. The rest is definitely acrylic. It'll definitely need some TLC as far as cleaning goes. And if it will be used as a show tank, I'm sure you'll want to refinish it with an acrylic surfacing kit. Contact me through private message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. We'll work out a means of payment and shipment. I'm willing to work with whoever wants to buy the darn thing and get it outta my way!

God bless you,
John Conner

I'm brand new to this site and actually just got on here to find out if I could put dried starfish in a Betta bowl
No, you can't — it'll get all mushy and disintegrate, plus it's preserved with chemicals that will kill your betta. Good luck with the sale.

I had PM/e-mailed him.

The tank is 76 x 44 x 36 high. He is getting pictures of it for a post. He is in Louisianna, Lake Charles area.

Thanks for the help Bob. I haven't been fooling around with this computer too much. I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be getting picks so just hang on. I know it's taking forever. I appreciate your patience. Also, just to let you guys know, I don't know what I was doing last time I was looking for the price a tank of this size would cost but apparently I wasn't right on my calculations. See, I didn't know how to calculate the gallon size and was really selling myself short on the size of tank that I have. I was going by the closest measurements I could find and obviously a few inches make a HUGE difference LOL. This tank I have is a hair over 521 gallons. 521.14 to be exact. The ONLY tank I could find online so far is 500 gallons and it runs $4,400. That is just for the tank and light strip! You can double check this by going to http://www.myfishtank.com/default.asp?a=tanks&tankdesc=1 and going to the very bottom listed price. This tank is actually only 480 gallons and the price is $4,400. Of course mine does have a couple of pretty bad scratches and it's used of course, but I still think that my asking price is a bargain. If you are going to have it shipped though, it would cost you close to $1,000 or over if you combine the price of the tank and the shipping depending on your area. The company with the 480 gallon tank is located in California and it would cost over $500 to ship it from them to Lake Charles, LA to maybe give you somewhat of an idea. They use ABF freight to ship their tanks. Knowing what a new tank of this size costs now, I definitely cannot go down on the asking price. You possibly couldn't even get this shipped to you for the price I'm asking. I'll have you guys some pictures soon! Sorry my posts are so long. I'm long-winded and don't know how not to be LOL!

If you want a quote on shipping log onto the UPS or FedEx website or any other preferred freight service to get a quote on shipment or I can do it for you. Whoever is going to calculate the quote will have to have the other's adress so private message me with your address or to ask me for mine. Payment for the tank must be complete before I will ship the tank. This means if it is a check that the check must clear to my bank before I will ship the tank. I'm not sure, but I think there are 3rd party companies who will take care of this exchange for you. If anyone knows of any, please let me know. I'm not looking to cheat anyone and I don't want anyone to cheat me on my payment. I will get detailed pictures of the tank up close and personal for you. I would like to guarentee that the tank has no leaks, but I can't since the sump holes are not plugged. I will try to figure out some sort of way to effectively test to see if it leaks, but even then I will not guarentee the tank not to leak. It will be sold strictly in "as is" condition. Payment for shipment of the tank will also be the responsibility of the buyer.

Thank you,
John
