huma huma triggers

Lions and Anglers can swallow fish up to 3/4 thier size, so a 7" lion could swallow a 5-6" fish.

However Antennata lions get to be the same size as Volitans, so expect a fully grown one to be the same size as a basket ball. In this case at adult size your looking at a 10-12" fish that can swallow fish up to 8-9" long.

Antennata's are actually one of the smaller lions. They reach ~7-8 inches max. I would not suggest putting a lion with a Huma however. The Huma family (Rhinecanthus sp) is NOTORIOUS for plucking the fins and eyes off of the lion. I have yet to hear of a successful encounter with a Huma and any kind of Lion. It may work while younger but when the trigg starts growing it will look at the lion as a playtoy. Lions are predators but they don't move much. They also don't have the abilitly to blend with rocks (some do like the Dwarf Fuzzy) and the triggers are fast aggressive predators which don't make the 2 a fair match. I personally would not put a Huma with any kind of lion. JMHO. Hope this helps!

yea, i probally wont get a trigger. i love em, but they are just too much hassel. maybe if i set up one of those cheap little 29's i could get just the trigger in there, but not inm my big tank. oh well. but i do think im going with the angler,bi color, lion combo.
