If the other fish in the tank are not bothering the barb, and it is able to eat, I would leave it in the tank. Moving it will be stressful, which will slow the healing. Make sure the water quality is kept top notch, and that the fish has good food. Many people use MelaFix, and while it won't hurt, there's no gaurantee that it will help either. Monitor the fish for infections, and be prepared to treat if the wounds become infected.
It's unlikely that the eye will regrow, so the fish will be 'blind' in one side. This isn't a problem, most times--the fish adapts quickly. However, it will leave it vulnerable to nipping by other fish, and it will take it some time to acclimate, so it will swim angled, and bump into things for a while.
