I have a Hexagonal 21 Litre (4.6 Gallon) Fish Tank for which I am going to use for tropical fish, mainly Tetras.
I have been looking at the Hydro Ario air pumps, mainly the 1 and 2 series.
The Ario 1 says it will only work in a tank of a depth 25cm (10") but mine is 35cm (14") - which would be the Ario 2.
The problem I have is that the Ario 1 is for tank between 10-50 litres, and a Ario 2 is for between 50-100 litres.
I have been told to go for a Ario 2 because of the depth, but I dont know what effect having a pump for a larger fish tank will have. I was told that if I put a long air stone on it would help to dispel the bubbles, but where a air stone would go on one of these I wouldnt know. If I did go for a Ario 2 I would go for one with a coloured light on.
Can anyone help?
Look forward to your reply
Regards
