hydra infestation - non-medication approaches? Ramshorns? Clown Loaches?

Cannot cut down on the feedings, there are fry in the tank, and they need to be able to get to the food. This is a mixed pleco tank and only plecos. Nothing else which puts me in a bad spot. I've been doing WCs, Not the last 3 days with the hydra as the salt was supposed to work within 2-3 days. Will do WC tomorrow as this is the longest in between I've done a WC as usually did one every 1-3 days depending on my work schedule.

I'm now trying to contact someone else about the spixis and see if he's moved over the state lines or not. I'm not sure anymore. And trying to find a clean source for apple snails. Thanks for the suggestions. The tylos might be too pricy for me to try risking but apple/spixis might be good.

Is there any way you could move the fish out and treat with fenbendazole for 2 days and then do big WC's to get it out? I've not heard of any ill effects to fish or shrimp because of it, but if you really wanted to be safe that would work also. In just a day or two the hydra and any planaria will be gone.
