Apparently my shrimp is doing a Decorator Crab impression.

Nice accessory!

my god, those pictures are breathtaking! The hydra is the icing on the cake :p

I ended up removing the hydra, though now I keep wondering what it would look like if it had a back full of hydras.

FYI, hydra can be very difficult to remove. They have a 'root' that goes in the shell, and are best removed once the infected crustacean molts. The best way to get rid of the parasite is to remove the discarded shell immediately after it molts, and before the parasite has a chance to move to reinfest it's host.

She's a beauty. Nice pic! :headbang2:

I don't think it'd be so bad to have shrimp with hydra-backs. It'd let you keep them with bigger fish at least ;)
