So I had buyers for both my fish and the tank... or so I thought.
Now the buyer is thinking of flaking out due to some rediculous excuse...This is why I usually wont sell things to teens... no offence.. but they cant make up their minds and usually flake last minute. I agree I used to be that way. I guess this is just a reminder why I only sell to adults...
I was set to drop off both in the city either on thurs or friday... but now that buyer is flaking. It costs me about $20 in gas to get to the city, so I was hoping to get rid of em both at the same time... I cant believe people nowadays!
I ahve a 30 gal with everything listed for $55, stand is extra.... but everyone is trying to haggle down! I have $180 of free, yes FREE stuff included with the tank but someone had the nerve to offer me $10....:jaw-dropping:
Sorry guys for the rant... just really angry... like people are stupid I swear....


I cant get rid of the puff and the tank at seperate times. Its either both or neither.... otherwise I will be tempted to stock the tank.... and end up with more fish I cant keep >.<
 
I've had some trouble selling stuff before too, and the key to stressless transactions seems to be to let them do all the work. They leave a phone number, they call you, they pick up according to your schedule. From my experience, if you offer to deliver then it seems like you're desperate, and they will try to haggle your price down.

Flakers are just part of the community I guess... I've had people flake out on free stuff before.
 
this may sound like a Bigot, but i choose who i sell to by the sound of their voice. If tthey sound like a responsible professional, ill communicate with them. if they call me dude, and say "wazzup. ummmmmm i was interested in *blows into the phone* .... ummmm fishtank" i just tell them no thanks.
 
umm.........it sounds like you DIDNT goto the city yet. so how did you lose 20 dollars? yea, you might have paid 20 in gas and not taken the trip, but you still have 20 dollars.....in gas....
 
It can be bad on both ends. I have bought tons of items on ebay, craiglists, and other websites, and I have only had a few bad transactions. Although the last one cost me 150 dollars.

i think she's saying she doesn't want to make two trips, if she can save $20 by dropping them both off at once. if it was me, i'd just keep the tank. i hate getting rid of my fishies.
 
lol. and I super need to get rid of this tank. Thanks for explaining BKS... and I keep getting lots of emails from people who keep telling me about their lives... how they cant even pay the bills but their kids really want the tank.... Its driving me nits. No offence but I dont need a life story and Id rather not get into other peoples dramatic life... I have my own issues.

Just calmy explain that fish require MUCH more than just set up costs. then get Irate and pissy and make off like one of these--->:Angel:

it's funny how things vary from area to area. living where i do it's hard to find a good deal on a used tank and they are usually snatched up right away.
