Well, after weeks of banging my head against the wall for doing almost everything wrong, I think I may be having a cycled tank soon. My ammonia levels are now non-existant and my nitrites have fallen to .3ppm. Hopefully, by this time tomorrow it'll be lower as well. My goldfish are all gone out of the tank and back to the lfs except one which has it's own 10 gallon tank to itself. My two spotted raphael catfish have lived thus far although they have been extremely inactive night and day and have been hiding inside a long cave. I imagine that they're not very happy with me at all for the torture but I hope they'll make it and become more active.

Congrats on making it through the cycling. Unfortunately, raphael cats are primarily nocturnal, and will never be terribly active during the day, even in pristine water conditions. They are very cool, though, and an interesting if reclusive addition to a tank.

Thanks OG, I checked the nitrite levels today and they're barely reading. Maybe I'll add a few more fish this weekend. I just wish that I would be able to see the raphael cats move around a little but they seem to prefer hiding during the light hours in that cave (sigh). I was hoping to use that cave for a dwarf ram.
