Not going to hang it , it'll be made to lift off , I have musckles enough and it won't be that heavy. I have had hanging halides in the past REEF days and want this to be right on the tank. When I work on my tank I want the whole tank accessible without anything in the way.
Ok, got to get breakfast and then head over to the shop and get this thing done .

Hey I think that looks super! I agree with the hood being a lift-off type setup. I like the simplicity and the full access for cleaning and other work on the tank. How about feeding time? Do you just tip up a corner and chuck the feed in or move the entire hood? Anyhow I really like the look of your project and am looking forward to seeing the hood.
