I can not grow Java fern...

From what I have found out since then, the lacy leaves are a separate species of java fern, windelov or something similar. I'm in love with java fern, if anything I'd be buying long before I'm selling.

I find that java fern moved from low light to high light may need time to acclimate to the higher light. mine died off completely except the rhizome..but it's been a few months and it is starting to grow back. and much thicker.
in my low light to med low light it grows like crazy. I usually give some away with any java moss I am tossing.(3 species of java fern too)

Thanks everyone for helps. Imp - very nice pic of the widelov. I got both of these species. I will need be more patient and let it be in the tank. Tanker I was thinking that it would not thrive under high light but I have no worry now.
