I could use some feeding guidelines

Its not a perfect indication by any means, but also keep an eye on your nitrate levels. If you do regular water changes/vacuum, and you still seem to have more of a nitrate reading than 20 or so, you might be overfeeding.
 
Just keep in mind that most fish will ALWAYS eat. No matter how much they've already eaten. Fish will continue to stuff themselves. They do not need that much food--and will be just fine with lesser amounts. I can't tell you how many people report feeding several times a day, and suffering through algae blooms and water quality issues, and then saying 'Well, the fish looked hungry! and they eat every time I feed them!". Yes, they will eat. But they do not need it. It is worse for them to be overfed.
