sorry about the title but i can not think of a better name for what i am trying to identify.these things are brown/beige in color,seem to grow on my live rock and look like paper fan /shell type creatures.can anyone i.d.?sorry no digi cam so i can not post photo.

These "thingys" are most likely one of the many types of pods that come on live rock. Correct terms are copepods or anthropods, I believe. Many fish eat these . Thet are good guys.
