Definitely a Xeniid, but it's not possible to narrow it down much more, due to the lack of clarity of the pic and the coral's small size. Give it some more time and take a good shot of it once it grows in more.

Yeah It came on one of my original pieces of live rock, but it was about this big

This would be a good thing I take it?

Do the polyps pulse? It definitely looks like anthelia or xenia. Either of those are not harmful if somewhat invasive once they become happy in their environment.

If the polyps are out and extended most days and it keeps its colour then its happy.
The flow should be just enough to keep the polyps moving a bit, they can handle low to moderate flow but they don't particularly like being blasted. The polyps will close up if the flow is too much anyway.

They do pulse and from youtube videos I'd agree in thinking they are the pulsating xenia. So I suppose woot free coral? lol

I beat my xenia like a mule with flow. They don't pulse but they look awesome in the flow and are now about 8" tall. Ive seen several xenia in peoples tanks and IMO none are as nice looking as mine. Xenia is awesome becuase it works in almost every situation. it loves nitrates, doesnt mind crummy parameters, high flow low flow, doesnt even need much light. mine sits on the bottom of the tank.
