i dont see a cycle going on

My tank has been set up since around the 27th last year. I have been testing for ammonia and nitrite regualarily and i there isnt any of either. I have had a damsel in there for a while. It died but it was in bad shape right out of the fish store so it wasnt from ammonia or nitrite. I also put fish food in it to try and get stuff going in there. I have LS and LR in there also. Is it possible that there was a very short cycle?

I'm going through the same thing. I have uncured LR in mine and my readings are low and going down. The LR went in on 1/6. But I also washed and brush dead stuff of the rock. Maybe you should try cocktail shrimp for your cycle.

Ive already had a damsel that died. And i put flake food into it to try and get something going also.
