oh, and absolutely NO female guppies in a small tank. noone wants that problem.

simple empty ure 3 gal,clean it,fill it them get ure fish 3 male guppies max or maybe 1 betta

Thanks for the replies on the Algae, it's not stressful, it just makes it hard to see my fish!

yea I won't put more fish in, 3 gallons is pretty small.

I've had a planted tank, well not many plants in it but they grew and had I to trim them back periodically etc. Like an underwater garden! Though 3 gallon doesn't seem like a lot to put much into it plant wise either. I'll just wipe the insides down to get the algae off the tank walls.
