I ordered a 10pack from sachs (aquariumculturestore.com) and although it was a day late more than everyone was alive I ended up getting about 12 adults and had about 5 newborn fry in the bag with them.

The grand matriarch, the largest fish by far at 1.25" was/is apregnant female. She is not in too good of condition. It looks as if she was wounded recently and has clamped fins. All the others are like a crazy swarming cloud of aquatic bees schooling with her.

Everybody else is around 1/2". They are not eating from the surface yet but appear to eventaully find the food among the gravel.

They have been in the tank for about 36 hours and are still schooling tightly. I didn't know that there were any livebearers that schooled that tight.

My power filter has a fine net over it, water temp is 74d.Far. at about 7.6 with 4 dkh. The tank is heavily planted 10G (najas grass, dwarf sag, java fern, giant duckweed, and staghorn algae) and fully fishless cycled. it also has MTS(keep digging up my dwarf sag) and Red ramshorn snails.

I am thinking about putting cherry shrimp in with them eventually.

Is there anything i need to know these tiny things. :)
