I finally found a bamboo shrimp at Petco the other day. He's 2+ inches. I lost both of mine in a power outage last year and I've been trying to replace them ever since.

I bought him Monday and couldn't find him Tuesday. I thought for sure he had died and they had taken care of him overnight. He was the last one they had.

I've been looking everywhere. I checked the filter. I checked under the driftwood. Mind you the driftwood is huge and very heavy.

I have a pictus catfish, and I swore I saw an extra pair of whiskers or whatever in the cave with him yesterday, but I thought I was seeing things.

I went to feed the fish tonight and there he was peeking out from underneath the wood. I'm so happy!! :headbang2:

lol, yeah they are good at hiding. i have one that is about that size and it knows how to hide.

how do you feed it and how?

when i first got two of them they would scavenge and i've lost 99% of my glosso from them up rooting it. now i've seen them do their filter feeding on a driftwood since i turned on a small powerhead. i plan on getting one of those thin pieces of acrylic tubing to bring finely crushed food right in front of them to catch.

My other ones would hang on the return and just open their fans to eat.

I feed a variety of foods every night. I've sure between the algae wafers, shrimp pellets and flakes, he'll eat something.

Just an update. He only comes out at night. I saw him walking around in the lunar light last night. I'm going to try to find him a buddy.

LOL, that happens on my snail farm... they'll be lost, then found :)

It really bothers me when I cant find some of my stock. One of my otos is a hider.

congrats on finding him!! it can be quite disconcerting when you think you've lost one.... =) got any pics of him on the move in the lunar light? that must look pretty cool...
